Getting started

The mobile app

June on iOS and Android: the same chats as the web, plus dictation, calls, sharing from other apps and notifications.

The app puts your chats with June on your phone: the same threads as on the web, plus dictation, voice calls, sharing from other apps, and notifications when June has something for you. It runs on iPhone, iPad and Android.

Install June on your phone.
Sign in with the account you use on the web. Your chats are already there; there is nothing to link.
Allow notifications when the app asks, so a finished reply or a reminder reaches you. It asks the first time you tap Notify me or set a reminder or schedule, not at launch.

Home

Home lists the same chats as the web sidebar, your web and app chats, in groups: Pinned at the top, then Personal for chats in no project and no organization, then one group per project (and one per organization for its chats in no project), and Settled folded at the bottom. After Personal, the group with the newest activity comes first. Replies in a thread sit under the thread they came from.

Touch and hold a thread for its menu: Pin, Settle and Share (see Share a conversation).

In a thread

A thread works as it does on the web: write, attach photos and files, stop or steer a reply that is still running. The model and its reasoning effort are in the thread's settings. See Chat.

When June is about to create a calendar event or send an email or a Teams message for you, the thread shows a card with exactly what will happen. Tap Approve to have June do it once, as shown, or Deny to stop it. See A step that needs your confirmation.

The composer also takes dictation, and in a thread that already has messages its send button becomes Start a call while the composer is empty. See Voice.

Share into June from other apps

Choose June in another app's share sheet to bring text, a link, or up to five images or files into a chat. Pick a new thread or an existing one; what you shared waits in the composer as a draft, so you can add a line before you send.

What does this letter want from me, and by when?

Notifications

The app notifies you when a reply you asked about finishes, when a reminder or schedule runs, and when someone in an organization mentions you and you have not read it after a minute. See Notifications.

From the Home Screen

On iPhone, press and hold the June icon on the Home Screen for shortcuts:

  • The first, with a heart, opens a mail to the team saying what would make June worth keeping.
  • Bugs or any issues? opens the Support page to report a problem, or a mail to the team if you are signed out.
  • New chat opens Home with the composer ready to type.
  • Continue last chat opens your most recent thread; it shows once you are signed in and have a thread.

On Android the icon has no shortcuts.

Pages from the web

Projects and Settings at the top of Home open the web pages inside the app, signed in. The other pages, such as Memory, Integrations and Schedules, are on the web.

What the app does not do

  • It does not list Slack conversations; they stay in Slack. See Use June in Slack.
  • It has no rich text composer; text is plain.
