Models and who pays

Use your ChatGPT or Claude plan

Connect the ChatGPT or Claude Pro/Max plan you already pay for, and June runs your chats on it. No API key needed.

Connect the ChatGPT plan or the Claude Pro or Max plan you already pay for, and June can answer on it: its models show up in the composer's model picker, and your plan pays for those turns. No API key needed.

Both connect from your Settings page; connect one or both.

Connect ChatGPT

On the Settings page, choose Sign in with ChatGPT. ChatGPT's authorization page opens in a new tab.
Approve access. Your browser then lands on a localhost:1455 page that does not load. That is expected.
Copy the full address from the address bar, paste it into the field on the Settings page and complete the sign-in.

The card then reads Connected, and the ChatGPT group appears in the model picker.

Connect Claude

On the Settings page, choose Connect Claude. Claude's authorization page opens in a new tab.
Approve access, and copy the code Anthropic shows you. It looks like abc123#def456.
Paste the code into the field on the Settings page and complete the sign-in.

Warning on the Settings page

"connecting a Claude subscription this way is against Anthropic's Terms of Service and may result in your account being banned."

Use it

Pick one of the plan's models in the composer and send. A chat the plan has answered stays on it; Models and who pays has the picker's rules and who pays when.

While one of its models is picked, a meter next to the pickers shows how much of the plan's usage windows is used; open it to see each window and when it resets. When the plan runs out, June says so in the chat, and says when it resets if the plan reports that. Start a new chat on a June model to keep going in the meantime.

Disconnect

Disconnect the plan from its card on the Settings page. Its models leave the picker. If you shared the plan with an organization, it stops paying there too until you connect it again.

What June does not do

  • It does not share your plan with anyone unless you choose Share my plan in an organization.
  • It does not fall back to another plan when yours runs out; it tells you instead.
