Your first chat
Get a useful first result: give June one task, review the answer, and refine it. No connected tools needed.
Start with one small piece of work you can review: a reply to write, a decision to prepare, or notes to turn into next steps. You do not need to connect a tool to try June.
Try a task from start to finish
Explore the three stages below. This is a sample conversation, so you can look around without sending anything.
Say what you need, with enough context to start
Name the invoice, how late it is, and the tone you want. You do not need a connected mailbox to get a draft.
Draft message: Draft a friendly payment reminder for invoice 1042. It is twelve days overdue. Ask when payment is expected, keep it under 100 words, and leave the customer name for me to fill in
An example with sample data. No messages are sent.
1. Give June enough to start
Open a new chat. Say what you need, include the facts June should use, and describe the result you want. A couple of sentences is enough.
Draft a friendly payment reminder for invoice 1042. It is twelve days overdue. Ask when payment is expected, keep it under 100 words, and leave the customer name for me to fill in
Try in June opens an editable draft in a new chat. Change the details, then send it. If you are signed out, sign in first; the draft comes with you. The copy button lets you take the same prompt to a chat you already have open.
You should now have a reminder you can edit and send yourself. This task writes text in the chat; it does not send an email.
2. Make the result yours
Stay in the same chat and ask for a change. You do not need to repeat the whole task. Copy the follow-up below into that chat.
Make it warmer and mention that we can split the payment into two parts
If June is still replying, typing changes the send button to Steer. Send your extra detail and June picks it up at its next step. If the answer is finished, your message starts a normal follow-up. Chat explains both.
3. Give June your own material
Once the first result looks useful, try a task from your work:
- A file you already have: attach it and name the question you want answered. Start with a PDF or a text file; see Files.
- Something in another app: connect that app on the Integrations page, then name the file, message, or account June should use; see Integrations.
- Something to bring back later: ask for a reminder and include your time zone; see Follow-ups.
Remind me tomorrow at 9:00 Berlin time to review the payment reminder before I send it
If you do not get the result you expected
Give June the missing fact or point to the part that needs changing, in the same chat. For a broad answer, ask for a specific format: three bullets, a short email, or a list of dates with their source. If you need a factual correction, provide the correct value rather than asking June to guess again.
A prompt that names a file or service does not connect it. Attach the file or connect the tool first. If June cannot reply, check Troubleshooting.
